Would you attend an art fair that rejected you? I am about to. I am going to buck up, hold my head and chin high, see art and artists as a spectator at the Bucktown ArtsFest. I will keep the disappointment that just now resurfaced to myself. Well, that was true up until the preceding eleven words. Off to the show...I will let you know how it goes.
Two weeks later......
I am really behind with this particular post so I am keeping it short.
I survived. I spent quality time and conversation with artist hero Jennifer Meyer who I rarely see, but thanks to technology and being kindred it doesn't matter...AT ALL.
It is interesting the providence of my not getting into the show. On the second day of the show,
there were monsoon rains which resulted, so I heard, in some artists breaking down their booths early. As I am trying to get over my trauma for outdoor shows for this very reason, this definitely would have set me back emotionally and financially even further. I I had planned on renting the tent.
But I do have something to look forward to AGAIN and it is indoors. Details to come in upcoming post and promotions.
